Tyleigh is the cute little girl wearing a Pendleton patterned
wool dress and Austin, her 18 month old Babydoll
Southdown wether, is wearing a matching wool bow.
They competed in the Pre-junior Lad and Lassie wool
contest at the Okanogan County Fair in Okanogan WA.
In this class the participants wear a wool item and write
an essay describing themselves, their outfit, and their
animal.  She earned Grand Champion in this contest, so
she got to participate in the "Parade of Champions". Her
wether was purchased from Flying D Farm and she also
won the “Best Babydoll” Trophy.

Three Little Lambs by Susan Amundson, and Brave Dogs And Gentle
Dogs And How They Guard Sheep
by: Cat Urbigkit. Diane Spisak brought a babydoll lamb, border collie, shepherds crook,
raw, washed, and carded wool, needle felted toy lamb, and a knitted hat for the children to enjoy. Before the visit Diane spent
about 10 sessions teaching lamb be tame and walk on leash. Before leaving the lamb got a bath. The young lamb acted like a
pro, very calm and tolerant and didn't even leave droppings in the library during the visit!
