Mail the completed Application for Registration Form with the Work Order and Fee Schedule Form to
North American BABYDOLL Southdown Sheep Association & Registry 15603 173RD Ave., Milo,
IA 50166.
Completing the WORK ORDER AND FEE SCHEDULE FORM:
Breeder should fill out the top section and under section B use option #1 for lambs under a year,
indicated how many you are registering and fill in what the total would be.
Breeder would also fill out section C and how many transfers doing and the total amount.
Fill out total transactions at bottom and mail this form with the application for registration form to the
NABSSAR Registry. Breeder should have papers mailed back to them to double check everything is
correct including that the registrar has signed the back of the papers. The breeder then mails
completed, accurate papers to buyer and the sale is complete.
OTHER WAYS TO COMPLETE THE TRANSFER PROCESS NOT USING SECTION 8
A breeder may choose to leave section 8 blank and just register the sheep into their name.
Papers would come back to breeder and checked for accuracy and wait until the final sale to do
the transfer. This would then be done by:
1) The Breeder: After sale has buyer fills out the back of the paper with Name, address, city-
state and phone number. And the breeders sign the transfer. The breeder would then send in
these papers, the original to the NABSSAR Registry. The breeder should have papers mailed
back to them, and double check that they have been signed off by the registrar and mail
completed papers to buyer.
2) The Buyer. Breeder explains to the buyer that they need to fill out the back with name
address and phone number. The breeder signs the paper. They buyer is told they will need to
join nabssar for $20 and breed should give them a New Membership Application if the buyer is
not already a nabssar member.
The breeder should also give the buyers the Work Order and Fee Schedule Form along with
instructions to fill out Section C (transfer) and that both forms should be mailed to the
NABSSAR Registry and to call you if they have any questions about their completed papers.
NOTE: NABSSAR recommends that all breeders take care of transfers for buyers to
insure their sheep transfers are completed. It is up to the breeder who should pay the $8
for the transfer to the new owners. Since originals need to be sent in and payment
should be received before papers are completed or transferred, it is recommended that
buyers are either given copies of sire and dam papers with lamb ear tag, or copies of
lamb papers while they wait for their transfer to be complete. Buyers should get
something at pick up, besides a bill of sale.
Feel free to give you buyer’s lineage colors on copies or let them know they are available by
calling the NABSSAR Registry and having them looked up.

TAGS: If you use Official Scrapie Tags for ID of your lambs, you use the ID number on that
tag, not the Farm ID name or number which is the same on all tags. Example to the left is
number 0300 and that would be the number to use in the naming of sheep. (McDonalds 0300
Susie). Or if you use a personal farm tag you use the ID number located on that tag.
